Ms. Fredia Diana Clark

Fredia Diana Clark born 23 Oct 1956 in Winter Garden, Florida lost her battle with Acute Myleogenous Leukemia but won the war and went to her Heavenly Home on 1 Sep 2017 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was the beloved seventh and youngest child of James Warnie Clark and Clara Leavie Bell Gray Clark. She was a resident of Scottsboro, AL and a friend to many in the area. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at The Gathering Church of God with Rev. Matt Baty and Rev. Ron Hays. Burial will follow in Cawfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the funeral home. The body will lie-in-state at The Gathering Church of God from 12:00 p.m until the time of the service on Monday. She is survived by a loving brother, Roy Carl Clark and a sister that will cherish her always, Leavie (Cricket) Irene Clark Bell, both of Scottsboro. She is also survived by nephews, Willard Long and John Stephen Long both of Hollywood, James Russell Barnard of Bridgeport; nieces, Patricia Ann Long Prater of Scottsboro, Clara Josephine Long of Dalton, GA, Mary Darlene Barnard of Greenville, SC, Katherine Marie Barnard Chambers of Chatsworth, GA, Elizabeth Ann Hickman Smith of Bridgeport, many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many, many brothers and sisters in the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Robert Clark; sisters, Pauline Clark Long, Jessie Mae Clark McCollum, Mary Katherine Clark Hickman; nephews, James Robert Clark, Jr., Lonnie Farrell Long; nieces, Priscilla Sue Barnard Dunn, Sondra Kay Reott; great nephew, Roger Dean Prater; and great niece, Jessica Marie Smith. Fredia loved her Lord, Jesus Christ more than anything in the world and then her friends and loved ones more than herself. She loved to spread cheer and love everywhere she went and to everyone she came into contact with. She had humor and she labored for the Lord even during her battle with Leukemia. The day she was told that she had Leukemia she never cried “why me” or questioned God. She just said "I'm a winner either way". And she is. She grew to love her caregivers at Crestwood Hospital and they loved her in return and we are so thankful to them for the care they gave her. So "I Can Only Imagine" as you rest in "The Haven of Rest” and “Go Rest High” on that mountain my beloved sister for you are truly a "Winner Either Way".
